To identify the precise locus of friction within the human operating system, the framework utilizes an elimination protocol. By systematically removing core variables, the system isolates the exact boundary where execution failure and internal overwhelm are generated.
1. Phase 1: The Removal Test
The initial phase of the protocol isolates the primary components of the human equation (H = M + B) to answer a fundamental diagnostic question: At which level of the human equation does the friction arise?

1.1 Isolation of the Body (B)
If the mind (M) is removed from the system, the body (B) continues to navigate its physical environment as a biological entity. It processes nutrients, executes metabolic sleep cycles, manages respiratory functions, and undergoes chronological decay.
Inside a body operating alone, there is zero structural conflict, zero internal overwhelm, and no governance deficit. The system operates strictly under biological imperatives and physical feedback loops. It occupies the temporal field of the day, but it carries no internal tension because it holds no aspirational claims beyond immediate metabolic maintenance and survival.
1.2 Isolation of the Mind (M)
If the body (B) is removed from the system, the mind (M) operates as a frictionless generator. It produces data, plans, and projections endlessly without metabolic expenditure, physical drag, or energetic consequence. It is not bound by linear time, physical space, or chronological aging.
Inside a mind operating alone, there is zero execution friction and no governance problem. However, because it lacks a physical channel (Eᶜ), nothing can be materialized. Every claim remains completely compressed (Cₘ); no element can enter the material world.
1.3 The Locus of Friction
The elimination protocol demonstrates that friction is not an inherent property of the mind alone, nor is it a defect of the body alone. It is a function of their containment and co-presence:
Friction = f(M inside B)
The self — the governing position (S = f(M, B)) — only becomes necessary because of this structural fusion. The self is not a distinct psychological or mystical entity; it is the operational interface that emerges when two systems obeying fundamentally incompatible laws are forced to interact inside a single physical organism.
2. Phase 2: The Time Test
If the co-presence of mind and body creates the structural field, the second phase of the protocol isolates the variable that converts this co-presence into active operational conflict.
The variable is Time (T).

To analyze this variable, the system runs a counterfactual simulation: What occurs if the temporal constraint is removed (T → ∞)?
2.1 The Untethered State (T → ∞)
If time is infinite, the structural rate mismatch (Rₘ ≫ Rᵦ) ceases to generate conflict. Though the mind continues to generate claims faster than the body can execute them at any specific point, an infinite timeline guarantees that every compressed claim can eventually be decompressed and executed.
In this state, choice carries no permanent structural consequence. Selecting to execute sequence W₁ does not prevent the execution of sequence W₂, W₃, …, Wₙ. Because there is no opportunity cost, the need for selective governance dissolves.
2.2 The Constrained State (T = 1,440 minutes)
The moment the fusion of mind and body is placed inside a finite temporal container, time solidifies into a rigid, non-negotiable scarcity vector. Because physical execution requires linear sequence, selecting sequence W₁ at time t₁ structurally prevents the execution of sequence W₂ at t₁.
Temporal scarcity enforces a mandatory cascading sequence:
Time Scarcity ⟹ Foreclosure of Alternatives (Opportunity Cost) ⟹ Mandatory Choice ⟹ Attentional Allocation
Temporal Scarcity (T < ∞): The system operates within a fixed diurnal container of 1,440 minutes.
Foreclosure of Alternatives: Physical action is zero-sum. Every active allocation of the body to an execution channel (Eᶜ) automatically forecloses all alternative actions for that duration.
Mandatory Choice: Because the mind’s generation rate exceeds the body’s execution rate (Rₘ ≫ Rᵦ), the system cannot remain neutral. Inaction is itself an allocation choice, defaulting to metabolic decay or passive feedback loops. Prioritisation is structurally forced.
Attentional Allocation: Attention is the operational governor of this scarcity. It is the administrative filter that determines which compressed claims (Cₘ) are permitted to pass through the decompression operator (Ω) into the limited physical channels of the body.
Attention is not a moral virtue or a vague psychological state. Attention is the primary governing tool inside finite embodied time. It becomes necessary because something must govern which claims are permitted to enter the limited field of action.
3. The Constitutional Architecture
The human architecture is defined by this four-part invariant system:
Mind ⟶ Generates
Body ⟶ Executes
Day ⟶ Constrains
Self ⟶ Governs
Remove any single variable from this equation, and the execution problem ceases to exist. Because none of them can be removed, they must be treated as absolute, constitutive architecture.
Systemic optimization, scheduling modifications, or behavioral interventions are mechanically invalid without a prior structural audit of the field. Attempting to load an optimization layer onto an unread, pre-occupied architecture results in resource displacement rather than resolution. The entry point of governance is the clinical recognition of the system's baseline constraints.
